When,  Lord, I  see  someone
who  hungers &  thirsts . . .
Let  me  reach  out  to  them
not  last,    but  first  ~

Let  me  lend  a  hand
not   go  on  my  way . . .
let  me  be  first,  Lord  
for  their  needs  to  pray  ~

Let  me  be  last,  Lord
to  judge   with  disdain  . . .
ignoring   their  struggle 
heartache  and  pain   ~

Offering  compassion
when  their  bubble  bursts . . .
with  tender  encouragement
Lord,  let  me  be  first  ~

Let  me  show them
YOU, Lord,  with  sincerity . . .
But  for  your  Grace  
this  could  be  me   ~

Me  without  Mercy
still  lost  in  gross  sin  . . .
walking  in  darkness  
with  no  hope  to  win  ~

But   for Your  Love,
Lord,  enduring  The  Cross . . .
we'd  have  no  Saviour
this  world would  be  lost  ~

To  thank You  &  praise You
with  the  best  and  the  worst . . .
point  others  to  Jesus 
OH,  LET  ME  BE  FIRST !
