In Loving Memory of
Randy  Schults
1957 - 2004

Randy was like a meteor in the sky. His life was full of friction and light and he lived it fast and furiously. Like Paul, he lived with a thorn in his side that motivated him not just to live life, but to live it on the edge.
He once told me that if you're not living on the edge you're already dead.

His was the life of a risk taker, the life of one who never made any concession to fear. The life of one never cowered by the hardships of life. In fact it was during hardships that the light of his spirit shined the brightest. When his family members were sick, Randy was always there. For the past two years, he faithfully visited his aunt in the nursing home every week. Earlier this year he sat with his uncle while he was in the hospital.

For the past five months, he drove 1400 miles every month to be with his sister while she went through chemotherapy. In between all this, he found time to help out friends and family who also needed help. He loved his son, his mother, his sister and brothers and all the rest of his relatives and close friends.

Randy understood that for a Christian, service was a duty, not an option.
When asked why he did so much for others, he would respond - "It's what I'm suppose to do". While Randy achieved no money or fame in the world, we know that he stored his treasures in a more secure place and that now he has access to all of them.

We will miss him and everything about him: his laugh, his voice, his risk taking, his loud music, and his goodness. We know that if he were here today he would ask us to pray for everyone in this room to know and understand God and live according to His will. Randy tried to the best of his ability to do this. While we still have only partial answers we are certain that Randy now has all the answers he spent his life searching for.
