Army Specialist Selian A.Diaz,19, was killed April 4,2004 when the convoy
she was riding in came under attack.

Diaz, joined the Army November 14,2001 and was assigned to the 21st Combat Support Hospital, based at Fort Hood Texas in June of 2002.

Her records with the Army show that she was born in Fort Buchanan, but Caguas,
Puerto Rico is listed as her permanent address.

Diaz's body was flown into Puerto Rico late Saturday night from Dover Air Force base in Delaware, but the Military did not notify the media at the family's request for privacy.

Diaz, was laid to rest in the Puerto Rico National Cemetery in Bayamon.
She was posthumously awarded a Bronze star and Purple heart.

The parent's of the fallen Puerto Rican soldier are retired soldiers who were in the Army at the time of her birth, her husband is also enlisted in the Military.

Her husband and parents have declined any comment on the death and have requested to stay out of the media.
